Will the News and Drama Ever Stop For the Cowboys

Owner Jerry Jones never has a boring week with the Cowboys franchise. As if it wasn’t enough to lose the teams starting quarterback for the next 3 games, the young and troubled 25 yr. old starting cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones gets suspended for a minimum of 4 games and possible lifetime banned.

In typical Dallas fashion though, the Cowboys shake the football world up with another move on the trade deadline. The Cowboys while hearing the upsetting news about Adam Jones move forward with on-the-field decision in the same day by acquiring, the Detroit Lions 2004’s 1st round 7th pick, wide receiver Roy Williams. Not only does this move help the Cowboys in 2008, Williams agents and Jerry Jones have agreed on a deal that can keep the receiver in a Cowboys uniform for five more years.

Cowboy fans buckle up and “get your popcorn ready“, the only question that comes to mind, is can the old super bowl champion quarterback Brad Johnson get the ball to his major 3 weapons ( Jason Witten, Terrell Owens, and newly acquired Roy Williams)? The Dallas Cowboys have a good chance of catching a rhythm going against the 25th ranked defense in the St. Louis this coming Sunday.

Monday Night Football Cowboys Vs. Eagles

Probably one of the most exciting games of Monday Night football in a while The Cowboys take on the Eagles on September 15th, 2008. Predicted both high powered offenses go head to head and a game that was a close as close as you can get. With the ending score 41 to 37 Dallas.

Romo kept his cool after turning over the ball twice in the second half, one thrown interception and one fumble in the end zone captured by the eagles for a touch down. The Cowboys defense looks like it needs a shot of the basics as missed tackles and poor techniques allowed The Philadelphia Eagles to take advantage early wit both turnover resulting in touchdowns.

For the Eagles this was a huge test because of the media flock waiting to see what Donovan McNabb really can do this year after Head coach Mike Holmgren has a spew of family matter that almost put him into retirement and announcing that Donovan will always be his guy and that his health issues have vanished this off season. The real surprise is Brians Westbrooks ability to still run the ball down Dallas Cowboys throat without much effort but had a costly fumble late in the game that allowed Dallas another touchdown to take the lead.

The final work report is Dallas will need to work on tier high priced talented defense and bring them back to the basics before anyone will believe they are a Super Bowl contender in the NFL. And the Eagles will have to give the ball more to their bread and butter offensive weapon in Brian Westbrook.
